St Chapel, Louvre & Montmartre
This 7-hour tour will allow you to get to know some of the capital's most emblematic monuments and places. We will start in the historical centre called 'ile de la cité' with an introduction about the first inhabitants and the birth of Lutetia, the old name of Paris. On this island you will find the two gothic jewels, the holy chapel and the cathedral of Notre Dame with which we will go back to the Middle Ages to explain its architectural style and great historical facts. After walking around this island and getting to know other significant places, we will travel back in time to immerse ourselves in the evolution of art history in the most famous museum in the world, the Louvre. Our expert local guides will tell you all about the stories behind the works and the artists, helping you to better understand what makes them so iconic and special. After lunch break, we will go up to Montmartre, a bucolic, bohemian and intellectual neighborhood where the main actors will be Georges Michel, Vincent Van Gogh, Pablo Picasso, Renoir, Modigliani, etc ending with an incredible panoramic view of the city of light right in front of the Sacre Coeur Basilica.
